ESSEX HUNT BALL
Friday 9th March 2007
Well another successful hunt ball this year with. Slightly less tickets sold than last year but still a tremendous atmosphere and great fun.
Guests were met at the door with by Simon Hall our Kennel Huntsman ,and Andrew Smith our new Master this season who also holds the post of our Amateur Whip.
| During the evening a couple of foxy ladies were mingling with everyone and were there to help with the fundraising events. These had been altered a little this year. There was still a raffle with half a dozen good prizes, the casino and we managed to bring in an indoor shooting outfit which was very popular the whole evening. |
| The musical entertainment was changed round a bit to try to accomodate people who wanted a slightly quieter life. Upstairs in the Banqueting Hall was the Jazz Band, the band was moved into the Rosewood and the disco into the Club House. This arrangement seemed to work very well. The band, as before was laid on by our own Martin Wilson and was tremendous. They certainly have a fantastic repertoire. |
Last guests departed at 3.45am and the whole evening was a great success. It really is going to be very hard to find another venue that offers us so much and also holds enough people.
