MARCH 2010

The season is drawing to a close with the last meet scheduled for March 10th.
We have been plagued for the last few weeks with bad weather which has meant cancellations due to the wet conditions. It is such a shame as the hounds are really working well at the moment and are screaming after the scent.
All Simon Hall's hard work with a very young pack has fallen into place and I am confident that our hounds could give any pack in the country a run for their money. Roll on next year. They will be bigger and stronger so watch this space.
When it comes to this time of the year I feel very split. On one side it is the end of a long season and the horses are beginning to look like they need a break. On the other side the thought of it being the end of another hunting year makes me feel quite lost. What to do with the Wednesdays and Saturdays ??????
The hunt horses are all in good fettle with Lorraine in close attendance. We started with everything sound and it looks like we will end with everything sound.
The breeding season is upon us and Simon seems to have his head permanently stuck into the Hound Stud books selecting handsome young studs for our blushing young girls. Its getting to the time of year that we will be looking for puppy walkers again. Just remember that there are some super trophies to be won by the puppy walkers at the puppy show held in June.
